Sales and Business Development Manager – Innovative Building Ventilation Systems

Ventive is looking to hire an ambitious Sales and Business Development Manager to help scale sales of our innovative Natural Ventilation with Heat Recovery system into schools, gyms and other multi-occupancy buildings

Salary Package: £40-60k FTE, sales commission bonus, potential eligibility for equity options scheme

Ventive is a dynamic, VC-backed company that specialises in intelligent & renewable Building Services, such as its award-winning, intelligent Windhive technology that provides fresh healthy spaces for schools and other multi-occupancy buildings, without the usual running cost of traditional systems. The Windhive product has been deployed in over 50 buildings, and the company is now looking to scale sales in the UK. The company’s vision is to become the energy platform of modern buildings: creating comfortable and healthy internal environments without costing the Earth.

Aim

  • Generate and win new business to grow the sales pipeline
  • Increase brand awareness with specifiers in the construction sector, architects, and other stakeholders
  • Significant scope for growth as the company grows Windhive sales in the UK, explores internationalisation and expands its product line.

Key Attributes:

  • Experience of technical specification sales into the construction sector
  • Experience of building and driving sales pipeline in the sector
  • HVAC experience or sound knowledge of building physics
  • Knowledge of smart systems (IoT) preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Exceptional project management, organisational and planning skills
  • Track record of delivering and reporting against targets
  • Dynamic self-starter
  • Results orientated
  • Natural problem solver
  • Web/app based CRM experience e.g. Insightly (preferred), Salesforce

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new relationships and foster existing ones with Architects, Building Services Consultants, M&E Consultants, M&E Contractors, Contractors and Specifiers
  • Deliver interesting CPD sessions to prospective clients to ensure they remember Ventive
  • Actively manage the company’s CRM, and generate regular reports
  • Develop proposals for clients
  • Maintain Ventive specification until award of contracts
  • Account manage enterprise clients and specifiers
  • Attend trade shows to promote the company and products
  • Identify and develop new sector opportunities for existing products
  • Input to reviewing and optimising sales processes
  • Present customer feedback to inform the wider company and further product development
